Ahead of the controversial Bill's tabulation in Parliament, video footage of a student protester writing a bloody note against the CAB, after slitting his own wrist, has emerged. He is later joined by other students, who also join him in slitting their wrists and adding bits of their own blood until it shines red and bright, clear for everyone to see.

In the viral video that is being shared on platforms such as WhatsApp and Facebook, a student (reportedly from RCC 1 hostel of the University), can be seen a inscribing a message against the Bill with his own blood. The message reads:
We will write history with blood words...
Don't do it..
We will move forward with renewed vigour...
We are going to Saraighat with newfound power..
We will never accept the CAB...
A message issued from Gauhati University...
This chilling message, in which the student writes about fighting another battle of Saraighat, is reflective of the Assamese student community's distaste for the Bill, which seeks to grant citizenship to non-muslim migrants from the countries of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.
Apart from Gauhati University, several other Universities are also taking active participation in the protests against the Bill.

The Assamese students of Sikkim University also staged a protest on Saturday, demanding the Government to withdraw the Bill.
