TAMULPUR: Assam Minister of State for health and family welfare, Pijush Hazarika, today visited the under construction oxygen plant at Samdrup Jongkhar, along the Indo-Bhutan border.
The minister, accompanied by Rajya Sabha MP Biswajit Daimary, took stock of the construction work of the oxygen plant during the visit.
The oxygen plant, once completed, will be able to provide Assam with 50 metric tonne of oxygen daily.

The plant, which is expected to be completed soon, will be of immense help to Assam; especially when the state and country as a whole, has been facing acute shortage of oxygen due to the sudden surge in COVID-19 cases.
