GUWAHATI: Assam wrapped up their Syed Mustaq Ali Trophy T20 Cricket Tournament Elite Group B campaign going down to Odisha by four wickets at Jadavpur University Second Campus ground in Kolkata.
With the defeat, Assam have lost three matches and won two to finish campaign with eight points, thus missing a playoffs berth.
Subhransu Senapati helped Odisha clinch their only victory by smashing a match-winning 64 off 48 balls.
Electing to bat first Assam could post 148 for five in their 20 overs, thanks to skipper Riyan Parag once again who hit a quickfire 26-ball 42, while Subhransu helped Odisha finish on 154 for six with an over left to play.

After Riyan went back Saahil Jain and Rajjakuddin Ahmed played two useful knocks of 24 and 32 respectively while Govinda Poddar continued his form by taking two wickets for 28 runs.
Pratik Das played a small cameo of six-ball 20 to save Odisha from finishing pointless.
