The carnival of democracy is on in full swing across the nation and election fever has gripped all and sundry during the ongoing 7-phase election that is being held during a span of five-and-a-half months.
Taking part in the largest democratic exercise, Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi has cast his vote in New Delhi. Mukhi and his wife cast their valuable votes in the Janakpuri LP School in West Delhi Constituency.
It may be mentioned that Mukhi had earlier served as the Minister of Finance, Planning, Excise & Taxation and Higher Education in the Delhi government.
BJP’s Parvesh Verma is contesting against AAP’s Balbir Jakhar and Congress’ Mahabal Mishra from the West Delhi constituency. All seven Lok Sabha Constituencies in New Delhi are headed to the polls in a bid to select their representatives.
