Guwahati: Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced an absolute step to strengthen the educational scenario of the tea gardens of Assam.

The Assam government has undertaken a huge step to build 119 Model High Schools in the tea gardens across the state of Assam.

During an inaugural ceremony in Biswanath, Assam’s Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the Model High Schools would play a major role in improving the educational scenario of the tea gardens.

“Not a single student from tea gardens should be deprived of higher education,” Sarma said, adding that the new educational institutions will encourage more parents to send their children to schools.
