Assam Govt Employees to get four-day leave to meet Parents

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma after the Cabinet meeting announced that Assam Government employees will be given a four-day leave so that they can spend time with their parents in January 2021.

Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that all employees of the Assam Government will be given the holidays so that they can spend time with their parents. "We have given them these leaves for their parents, but if an employee lost both their parents, then these leaves can be used for their Parents-in-Law", he added.

He further that during this leave, employees leaving away from their parents can go and visit them while some employees leaving with the parents can go for a vacation but the leaves will be used for parents only. He added that people who do not wish to visit their parents will not be given the leaves.

Even ministers, IAS-IPS officers will be availed with the leaves.
