Guwahati, November 23, 2019:

Assam government has hiked the bus fare in the state across all categories. As per the revised list, the state government has approved a hike of 25 % in bus fares.

The minimum bus fare, as per the new list, is Rs. 8 and maximum is Rs. 27.

The detailed bus fares are as follows –

0-5 KM - Rs. 8

5-9 KM - Rs. 10.94

9-13 KM - Rs. 14.85

13-17 KM - Rs. 18.75

17-21 KM - Rs. 22.66

21-25 KM - Rs. 26.56

In addition to the above, bus fare for long route buses is kept at Rs. 1.33 per kilometer. Air-conditioned buses will charge Rs. 1.54 per kilometer and busses taking the hilly route will charge Rs. 1.65 per kilometer.

The rate for Petrol taxis is Rs. 37.50 for the first kilometer and then the charge will be Rs. 20.31 per kilometer. Similarly, Diesel taxis will charge Rs. 28.13 for the first 1 kilometer and then Rs. 12. 50 per kilometer. Low floor city buses will charge Rs. 10.94 for the first 5 kilometers.
