Assam govt issues guidelines for New year celebrations in Guwahatinew year

GUWAHATI: After the emergence of new mutant Coronavirus strain from UK, the Guwahati Police on Tuesday released guidelines for party-goers for New year Celebrations on December 31.

The order passed by Police Commissioner of Guwahati Munna Prasad Gupta directed that only licensed bars can be opened till 12 AM midnight with not more than 50% capacity.

The order further stated that Naka checking will be installed at various places in the city this new year.

Guwahatians are requested not to drive vehicles under the influence of alcohol.

Directing this the Commissioner said, “We will keep a close eye on the drunkards”

The clubs/party people have to keep in mind that no loud music will be allowed post 10 PM in the city.
