GUWAHATI: Kalyan Chakravarthy, principal secretary, Education Department, Assam has announced today in a released circular that the summer vacation in schools have been rescheduled.
The summer vacations usually scheduled from July 1 to 31 in Elementary, Secondary and Sr. Secondary Schools (Class-1 to 12) as per Academic Calender, are now rescheduled from May 15 to June 14 of this year.

As stated in the circular, the decision was taken in view of COVID-19 situation in the state due to which educational institutes have been closed. So it must not cause any academic loss to the students mentioned above.
The order came into force with immediate effect until further notice.
In the past 24 hours, Assam’s COVID-19 tally rose to 3,10,086, with 5,657 new cases being reported.
The state under partial lockdown which came into force from today at 1 pm.
