ASSAM: GRENADE ATTACK BY UPLA MILITANTS IN EAST KARBI ANGLONG

A grenade attack at Borthal area of East Karbialong created sensationalism in the area.  The attack was made at Bronson Tiamong’s residence, a regional employee of the State Soil Preservation Department.  It is alleged that the attack is made by United People's Liberation Army(UPLA), a terrorist outfit. It is known that UPLA demanded an amount of Rs.  10 lakh from Bronson. It is suspected that the attack was hurled at Bronson’s residence due to unfulfillment of the demand. It is reported that days ago,  Bronson’s tea garden was put to fiames.
