After the revelation of a new political party being floated by the All Assam Students Union (AASU), comes talks of a new political party formed by the Hindu Bengali people in the state. As per sources, the idea for the new party has been on the rounds for some time now. Speaking to Inside Northeast, ex Bengali Tiger Forced Commander-in-Chief cum 27 Nagrijuli independent candidate Rabindra Bala Biswas.

In an election meeting for BTC 27 Nagrijuli, Biswas said that "AASU led anti-foreigners campaign led to a lot of difficulties for the Hindu Bengalis and later they have tortured again with NRC. After the BJP came, Hindu Bengalis had to participate in the NRC process and had to spend a lot of money for which they faced other difficulties in the process". He also alleges that they have been prone to mental torture due to such processes which led to even suicides. Rabindra Biswas further stated, "Before NRC we supported BJP but after that, we realised it was a mistake to support the party". As per him, the supposed new party is backed by Bengali intellectuals and they eye the BTC election first and after that, the 2021 assembly elections. Biswas concludes by saying, "Hindu Bengalis will answer the BJP".

In 27 number Nagrijuli Ikrabil Makhimara, a meeting happened for Rabindra Biswas. Nagrijuli BPF block President Khem Bahadur was also present along with other BPF workers. This begs the question, will there be a future coalition between BPF and the Bengali party to counter the BJP's increasing grounds? Has the BJP started to lose its Hindu Bengali votes?
