Assam Health Minister launches 'Mission Ramdhenu' for immunization of children, pregnant women

GUWAHATI: Assam Health Minister Keshab Mahanta on Wednesday officially launched the Mission Ramdhenu at Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH) Guwahati.
Under the scheme, immunization drive for children below 2 years & expectant women will be carried out across the state.
The mission was launched across the state to ensure full immunization of children and pregnant women.

The Health Minister informed that more than 1 lakh beneficiaries will be inoculated under this scheme. The inoculation will take place from 7th to 13th for the months of July, August and September.
A total of 4,741 centres, including Medical College & Hospitals & Sub-Health Centers, were supplied vaccines on Wednesday, informed the Health Minister.
