Subodh Biswas, the prime accused of the Silapathar AASU office attack, has not been granted the bail. Biswas was also accused of spreading communal hatred in the region. The leader of Nikhil Bharat Bangali Udbastu Samannay Samity, Subodh Biswas along with his aide Subhash were arrested from a remote village in North 24 Parganas district in West Bengal, located close to the Indo-Bangla border on 22nd of March. However, the Gauhati High Court today granted bail to the 26 out of 54 accused of the Silapathar incident.
