GUWAHATI: Assam Higher Education Council (AHSEC) has declared the Higher Secondary (HS) final year results today.
The Commerce stream has recorded the highest pass percentage (99.57%), followed by Science (99.6% ) while the Arts stream had the lowest pass percentage, at 98.93 %.
All together 2,49,812 students had appeared for the HS final exam 2021.
Among the 2,49,812 students, 38,430 students are from the Science stream, 191855 from the Arts stream, 18,443 from Commerce stream, and 1,081 in the Vocational stream.

In commerce, 13 districts -- Biswanath, Charaideo, Chirang, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Goalpara, Kokrajhar, Majuli, Morigao, Nalbari, South Salmara, Udalguri, and West Karbi Anglong are the best performing districts with a 100 % pass percentage, Meanwhile, Dima Hasao recorded the lowest percentage at 97.44 %.
In the science stream, Dima Hasao district is the best performing district with a 100 % pass percentage, meanwhile, Darrang district recorded the least pass percentage at 98.40%.
In the arts stream, the South Salmara district was the best performing district with a pass percentage of 99.86 % and the Charideo district recorded the lowest percentage at 96.17 %
After the Assam government cancelled the HS examinations on June 18 due to the COVID-19 crisis in the state, the results have been prepared on the Assam government's different assessment methods.
