The Assam Higher Secondary Examination kick-started today and will continue till March 14.
According to AHSEC, the examination has commenced in 772 centers across the State. Nearly 2,42,844 students will be appearing for the HSSLC examinations this year.
It is to be mentioned that yesterday, the authorities informed that jammers are being installed for the first time to prevent the candidates from cheating using mobile phones and other digital devices. Also, CCTV surveillance has been installed for the fair conduct of the examinations.
Meanwhile, Section 144 has also been imposed within 50 meters of the examination centers across Assam in view of the ongoing protest taking place against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.
