Assam: Huge consignment of illegal liquor seized at Lahorijan

In an operation, the Diphu police, Assam, seized a huge consignment of illegal liquor on July 11^th, 2020. The police recovered 125 cartons of illegal liquor carried from Arunachal Pradesh.  The accused Mangilal Godown was caught red-handed by the police.

Relating to the same incident an Alto AS-05K-1865 was found importing illegal Alcohol from Arunachal Pradesh. The driver Vijay Kr Yadav was apprehended red-handed at Khatkhati check Gate. On Questioning the accused told the police that 20 such vehicles including an Alto,Swift,Safari and Bolero Pick-up are used for importing the Alcohols from Golaghat.On further  Investigation he Disclosure some names who are involved in it. The accused are Kamaljit Singh, Akilesh Yadav, Paths and Nanu.

Similar incident happened on July 10^th, 2020 in Dillai too. Three illegal importers were caught Red-handed with 65 KG of Marijuana (Ganja) at Dillai. Their Names are Geeta Devi, Muni Mahato and Anita Roy.

As for Now They are being arrested under NDPS 21/20 U/S 20(C)29 and will be presented before Diphu Court for further investigation Reported  S.I Chitra Ranjan Borah and OC Ranjit Hazarika.
