The aim of the human chain was to send out the message to the state and central governments that the people of Assam continue to oppose the CAA. We, The People had taken the initiative to form the human chain near Dighalipukhuri in Guwahati.

People from different walks of life took part in the initiative, which seemed to be a collective effort to urge the government to repeal the CAA. People stood with candles and raised slogans such as “We won’t accept CAA,” “This agitation will continue,” “RSS Murdabad,” “Inquilab Zindabad,” etc.
“Assam is the epicenter of the CAA Andolan. Today’s initiative is part of the series of events planned by We, The People,” said one protester. “We have come out today as we oppose the government’s autocratic nature,” said another.
