The troops of the Indian Army recovered a, Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Tinsukia’s Lekhapani in Assam.
As per information, the IED, wrapped in a polythene bag, was recovered along the National Highway 38 in Lekhapani.
Later, the bomb squad rushed to the spot and diffused the IED. The incident has created a sensation in the region.
Troops of the Indian Army recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at Bogapani, located at around 8 km distance from Digboi in Tinsukia in Assam, on June 3rd, 2020.
The IED, wrapped in a polythene, was recovered along the 36 No National Highway. Later, the IED was diffused by the bomb squad.

It may be mentioned, on May 28th, 2020, the 9 Rajputana Rifles regiment of Army apprehended a suspected cadre of the anti-talk faction of the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) in Tingkhong in Dibrugarh in Assam.
The troops recovered a pistol and two Improvised Explosive Devises (IED) from the possession of the cadre. Later, the IEDs were diffused by the bomb squad at the Polo ground field.
Earlier, on May 25th, 2020, the troops of the Indian Army in a joint operation with Assam police busted a recruitment racket of banned militant outfit United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA). The troops also rescued a minor from Charaideo district of Upper Assam on May 25th, 2020.
