Indian sprinter Hima Das created history and she is acclaimed to be the first Indian athlete to win gold medal in IAAF championship held in Finland hailing from Assam.
Hima clinched the top position in the women's 400m final race in the IAAF Championship under-20 athletics. 18 years old Hima clocked 51.46 seconds to claim the top position. President of India Ramnath Kovind congratulates her for the achievement and giving a moment of pride to the country and the state.
