The death toll of Japanese Encephalitis (JE) has reached 104 after three more people reportedly succumbed to the deadly vector-borne disease, as per official reports.
As per the reports, two deaths were reported from Sonitpur and one death in Kokrajhar. Both patients were undergoing treatment in hospitals.
As per the updates of the health department, 459 people have been affected by the vector-borne disease. On the other hand, 1637 people have been reported to be affected by AES.

As per earlier reports, 439 people have been affected by the vector-borne disease. On the other hand, 1569 people have been reported to be affected by AES.
As on July 21, the district-wise death reports are: Dibrugarh (26), Barpeta (12), Baksa (6), Bonagaigaon (8), Cachar (11), Chirang (6), Darrang (20), Dhemaji (20), Lakhimpur (37), Golaghat (14), Jorhat (27), Sivasagar (33), Morigaon (11), Dima Hasao (1), Karbi Anglong (15), Sonitpur (27), Tinsukia (23), Nagaon (19), Dhubri (12), Goalpara (17), Hailakandi (4), Kokrajhar (3), Udalguri (13), Nalbari (17), Kamrup (M)- 16, Kamrup (R)- 27.
