GUWAHATI: An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale jolted several parts of Assam in the morning today, continuing a series of tremors that began earlier this summer.
The quake, which laste for several seconds, hit at 8:45 am in Assad's Goalpara district (Latitude 26.15 North
Longitude 90.28 East) at a depth of 14 kilometre.

It was felt in most parts of Assam, including the capital region of Dispur.
No damages to life or property have been reported so far.
