In a shocking incident that took place in the late hours of the night on March 21, the day of Holi, Chakrapani Parashar, a journalist hailing from Assam who works for a regional news channel, has been stabbed.
The incident reportedly took place in Ganeshguri locality of Guwahati city at around 10 pm. As per reports, the assailant is the owner of a local restaurant 'Albar Eats'. According to reports, Parashar had a quarrel with the owner of the restaurant in the morning due to which the owner stabbed him twice after tricking him down at night. Four persons, namely - Bhabesh Das, Nitin Sarma, Niraj Ahmed, and Sayed Ali Ahmed - have been detained by police in relation to the incident.
Parashar was rushed to GNRC hospital in Dispur after the incident. More details are awaited.
