The Dokmoka police in Karbi Anglong in Assam arrested four cadres of People's Democratic Council of Karbi Longri (PDCK), an armed rebel outfit, on June 7th, 2020. They were arrested from Therebasa village under the Dokmoka Police Station.

The cadres have been identified as Francis Terang alias David Mukrang (28) of Upper Deihori Village; SS Sergeant Naman Rishi Rengma alias Akhabi Rengma (24) of Khanari village; Roosevelt Engti (18) Sai Engti Gaon and Angtong Rongpi (19) Rongphangbong village, Diphu. Francis Terang was former self-styled army chief and present home secretary of PDCK .

Police recovered two 7.65 mm pistol along with two magazines, 10 rounds of 7.65 mm pistol, Rs 3,01,050 in cash, four mobile handsets along with Nine numbers of different sim cards, few numbers of PDCK letter pad and demand pad, two combat uniform along with two magazine pouch, one Laptop, four pairs of jungle boot, one pistol shoulder holster, one knee guard and one Rack Sack Backpack, rice around 2 kg wrap in a black long bag and torchlight and battery from the possession of the cadres.

The operation was led by Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Bokajan and deputy Superintendent of Police (HQ).

On June 3rd, 2020, the Assam police recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in Karbi Anglong district. The Karbi Anglong police arrested three out of seven accused.

The accused were identified as David Siama alias Samboi of Lamka Churachandpur, Manipur; Biki Thapa of Sagmuthi TE, Nagaon and Simon Lakra of Napani, Salna in Nagaon while Mang alias Mangboi Paite died in an encounter in Dhansiri.
