Lintu Kishor Sarmah, a man hailing from Assam's Nalbari has been arrested for threatening to kill Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The man, in his incriminating post, wrote that Himanta Biswa's life is in his hands and further added that if Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wants to stay alive, he should be given a job at the Nalbari Police Station. In the same post, he also wrote that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would soon become the target of terrorists.
An official source told Inside Northeast that the man was arrested for his post on Himanta. "In the evening, an FIR was lodged by a person called Samej Uddin. We picked him up from his residence which falls under the Nalbari Police Station at around 2 in the wee hours of the morning. He has now been sent to jail," added the source.
