ASSAM: MAN SETS HIS WIFE ON FIRE FOR REFUSING HIM TO GIVE THIRTY RUPEES

In a shocking incident, a man set his wife on fire for not giving him money. The incident took place in Golaghat district of Assam where the accused Bhebra Pujur set ablaze his wife for refusing to give him thirty rupees. The accused who is a daily wage labourer had given his day’s earning to his wife following which he demanded thirty rupees from it. The wife refused to give thirty rupees and gave him twenty rupees. In a fit of rage, he poured kerosene on his wife and set her on fire. She was rescued by the neighbours who immediately rushed her to a nearby hospital. The victim received severe burn injuries.

A case has been registered against the accused who has accepted his crime before the police.
