Assam to miss AADHAR link deadline

Guwahati, February 23, 2018:

The Assam government has said it has intimated the Supreme Court of its inability to stick to the March 31 deadline for linking Aadhar with various core services.

The State government has conveyed the message to the apex court via the Unique Identification Authority of India.

It may be mentioned that the Income Tax Department has already excluded Assam from linking Aadhar by March 31.
