GUWAHATI: Leho Ram Boro, sitting MLA who represents Tamulpur Assembly Constituency of Assam, passed away today at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) where he was undergoing treatment for COVID-19.
Boro, who represents was earlier admitted at Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) in a critical condition and shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after his condition deteriorated.

Leho Ram Boro arrived at Tamulpur Primary Health Centre in the early morning last Thursday as he was feeling unwell.
Boro tested COVID-19 positive the same day and was immediately shifted out to the Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) for better treatment.
He was put in the intensive care unit at night after his health deteriorated and was undergoing treatment when he breathed his last.
This comes days after Majendra Narzary, an MLA from Assam's Gossaigaon assembly constituency, died due to post-Covid-19 complications at the GMCH.
