Assam MLA Sherman Ali suspended from assembly for a day.

Guwahati, February 23, 2018:

Assam MLA Sherman Ali Ahmed got suspended from the Assembly for the day today by Hitendra Nath Goswami for refusing to stop asking supplementary questions after the Zero Hour was over.

As Ahmed continued to raise supplementary questions beyond the Zero Hour, despite the Speaker's repeated reminders, Goswami warned him to stop or else he would be suspended for the day.

Ahmed insisted "I am not going. Later Marshals were summoned by the Speaker to physically remove him.
