While the angst of the spine chilling incident of Dokmoka lynching two innocent souls of Abhijeet Nath and Nilotpal Das to death is yet to be replenished, more cases of the kind comes to light.

This culture of taking the law into the hands isn't new but has exhilarated in recent times spurring the furore causing it to become epidemic.

After the grusome incident at Dokmoka s case in Mangaldai has captured light. According to reports a woman was lynched by a group of woman accusing the lady of engaging in anti social and anti cultural activities in presence of the Police force itself

A boy and a girl were hurled at by the moral police at the Rangjuli area of Goalpara. The youths were lynched by by the local people on the pretext of their engagement in love affair.

In another dreadful lynching a youth Bijay Ray was assaulted by the public at Adarsha Village under Kalaigaon Police Station. The savage incident was initiated by one Pankaj Hazarika. A video of the lynching was doing the rounds over the social media of the brutal act.

Such incidents has now become a characteristic feature of the start instigating violence. It will be interesting to see if the government who has adopted ways to mitigate such problems as mob lynching and mob violence introducing programs to sensitize the people actually turns to fruition.
