ASSAM: NDFB CADRE APPREHANDED IN KOKRAJHAR

13 July 2018:

A joint operation led by Kokrajhar Police,12 Sikhli Regiment,Cobra and 6 Battalion Sasastra Seema Bal in the intervening nights of 12th and 13th July, at around 2:30am acting on a tip off regarding the movement of some NDFB’s cadres in ride number 7 of Chiang Reserve Forest.

The team noticed suspected militants and charged them and while being charged the suspected militants started to flee, but security personnel managed to catch one.

After being spot interrogation, he revealed himself to be Dwithun Brahma alias Daogalang (26), son of Nipen Brahma and a 41st batch cadre of NDFB.

One 7.65mm pistol along with 6 live rds and one no.36 hand grenade has been recovered from his possession.

Further interrogation is on process and search operation is also continuing to nab the other cadres who managed to flee.
