Assam: NDFB (S) Cadre Militant Nabbed in Kokrajhar District

Kokrajhar, August 7, 2019:

A Nationalist Democratic Front of Boroland (S) militant was nabbed earlier in the morning today at around 4:30 am from Kokrajhar district of Assam.

The cadre, who has been identified as Milon Basumatary, aged 37, was nabbed after an operation was launched jointly by 12 Sikhli regiment of the army, 11 PARA and Assam Police.

It has come to light that Basumatary is a resident of Sarfanguri in Kokrajhar district of Assam.

Five rounds of 9mm ammunition, apart from 150 Indian Rupees, and 15 Bhutanese Rupees, were found on his person. He was also found to be carrying a PAN card.

Another NDFB-S cadre had been nabbed in the last week. He had been identified as Dipak Basumatry alias B. Dwibai.

The security forces recovered one 7.65mm Pistol, two Rounds of live ammunitions and a two hundred rupees note from the cadre.

It is to be mentioned that the Security forces apprehended a cadre of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland-S at Labanyapur Ultapani on July 18 in Kokrajhar district of Assam.
