GUWAHATI: The Supermarket flyover in Guwahati will be opened for road traffic on November 3.
It will be a 1.21 km-long T-shaped flyover on the GS road in the city. The double-lane flyover will connect Dispur to Khanapara and Supermarket to Last Gate in the city.
The total project cost of the flyover is Rs. 127.20 crore. Even as the flyover was scheduled to be completed within 36 months, the flyover construction has been completed in around 18-19 months.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is also holding the charge of PWD portfolio, had inspected the construction site of the flyover on the midnight of October 27.
The Supermarket flyover will have three arms — the first towards Ganeshguri, the second from Assam Secretariat towards Down Town Hospital and the third arm will be towards Supermarket.
