ASSAM: NO ASSIGNMENTS OR MEETINGS TO BE UNDERTAKEN PRIOR TO THE PERMISSION OF CEM: MAHANANDA HAZARIKA

Permission for meetings and undertaking from the CEM Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council made mandatory, now this smells a rift

Mahananda Hazarika, Principle Secretary of Karbi  Anglong Autonomous Council, Diphu on June 27th (Wednesday) issued an order that reads no official can attend any meeting or take up any assignment from the state or central govt without the consent or prior approval of the Chief Executive Member of the council.

It is to be mentioned that the CEM in the Parliamentary Committee says that the power  of the council is unrestrained. Neither the state nor the central govt should interfere in any of the affairs of the council.

It is just after CM Sarbananda Sonowal appointed Sum Ronghang as the minister of the Hills Area Development, a cold war has started between the two Ronghangs.

According to sources CM Sarbananda Sonowal's favours for Sum Ronghang didn't go well for CEM of Karbi Anglong Tuliram Ronghang  also backed by other pivotal and influential ministers from the government and hence is the apprehension for such a declaration creating a rift.
