All Assam Bengali Youth Students’ Federation demanded compensation to the kin of the Bengali Hindus who lost their live in the name of National Register of Citizens (NRC) to the North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Addressing the media, the Federation demanded consideration of flood in Assam as a national issue. The leader of the federation said that in the name of NRC, the Bengali Hindus have been undergoing harassment as they have been declared D- Voter many a times. The body also alleged that despite providing document and those filing the claims and objections remained absent which is nothing but harassment.
The federation leader also mentioned about Madhubala Das who was sent to detention camp for two year without fact check.
The body demanded compensation to Madhubala Das from the state government for such misconduct. They also mentioned that the Bengali Hindus have been forced to commit suicide in the name of NRC.
The body urged the NEDA leader Himanta Biswa sarma to provide compensation to the keens of the one that lost their lives in the name of NRC.
