Ambubashi mela will start from 22nd June and full preparation is taken by the Assam government. In a press conference Chairman of Assam Tourism Development Jayanta Malla Baruah stated that the Ambubashi mela will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, cabinet minister Himanta Biswa Sarma along with Chandra Mohan Patowary in which more than hundread dhrama Guru’s will be present there.
Further he said about the programme of 22nd June which will start from 3 PM with a cultural programme and at 4 PM there will be Bhagabat Path. Moreover five camps will be set up in different sections of Guwahati for the devotees who will come from around the world and also there will be registration desks for each camp, he added.
The safety measures is also been discussed as ten lazer camera in different pandals will be allotted to count the devotees.
He also stated that tourism of Assam has been badly affected by the sensational case of Dokmoka happened in Assam and Curfew in Shillong which led all the foreigners cancelled their trip to NorthEast.
Lastly, he said that hundreds of dharma gurus will come together and conduct a meeting to take forward the Ambubashi mela to National and International arena.
