It is being seen that the forest areas of the state are being destroyed, but the state government of Assam has been accused of turning a blind eye to the situation.

Bahansham Unnayan Committee has made a serious allegation of the illegal demolition of forest areas by cutting of stones, coal, and trees illegally in Tinkupani and Namphai Reserve Forest under the Digobai Forest area of Tinsukia district of Assam.

Addressing the media, the Central President of the organization, Niranta Gohain showed some video clips to the journalist alleging illegal mining and stone smuggling Tinkupani and Namphai Reserve Forest areas. He further alleged that the officials of the Forest department are involved in the illegal activities.
