Assam Police apprehends one with huge quantity of illicit contraband tablets in Dhubri

DHUBRI: The Dhubri Police recovered a huge quantity of illicit contraband tablets, which being stored secretly inside his residence at Bogulamari, Part-l area. The team also apprehended one person in the connection.

The peddler has been identified as Abdur Rezzak Choudhury from Bogulamari, Part-l that falls under Dhubri Sadar Police Station.

The police based on a tip-off, conducted an operation at Bogulamari area and able to recover huge quantity of illicit contraband tablets and apprehended one person.

Police informed, the accused Choudhury have been supplying such addictive substances in the various regions of the District's town, suburbs and rural areas for some time.

Dipankar Dutta Lahkar, DSP - DSB branch of Dhubri Police Station, said, “We have registered a case against the accused under The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985 and further investigation is underway.
