Assam Police apprehends two, seizes suspected heroin in Hojai

HOJAI: The Assam Police on Thursday night apprehended two people and seized 61 soaps containing 680 gms suspected Heroin in Hojai’s Doboka.

In an operation, the team intercepted a Baleno and seized 61 soaps containing 680 gms suspected Heroin, hidden in a compartment between the footboard & base of the car.

Informing about the seizure, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “Based on intelligence, in a smart op in Doboka (Hojai), @assampolice team intercepted a Baleno and seized 61 soaps containing 680 gms suspected Heroin, hidden in a compartment between the footboard & base of the car. Two persons of another state arrested.”

Further investigation underway.
