Assam police arrests man impersonating as doctor in Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH: Assam police arrested a man masquerading as a doctor from a tea estate in Dibrugarh.

The accused has been identified as Eyaqub Ali who stole the identity of one Dr. Eyaqub Ali Ahmed who is a doctor at Kajalgaon Civil Hospital in Chirang district.

According to sources, the imposter has been working as a doctor at Hatiali Tea Estate in Dibrugarh since 2017.

Another fake doctor arrested by the police from a tea estate in Dibrugarh.

The fraud identified as Eyaqub Ali had stolen the identity of Dr. Eyaqub Ali Ahmed a doctor of Kajalgaon Civil Hospital in Chirang district.

He has been working at Hatiali Tea Estate in Dibrugarh assuming the fake identity since 2017.

Earlier he had served in reputed tea gardens like Greenwood tea estate (Dibrugarh), Borholla tea estate (Jorhat) as a medical officer.

Chabua Police has registered the case on the basis of an FIR lodged by the real Dr. Eyaqub Ali Ahmed.

The accused has forwarded to Judicial Custody on Tuesday.
