GUWAHATI: Assam Police in its effort to conduct a hassle free election, has installed a software system which will help in deputing all the on-ground police personnel in their respective polling stations automatically.
The National Informatics Centre (NIC) has lent technical and logistical support to the Assam Police in installation of the software.
The software will ensure randomisation of manpower deployment and in turn total neutrality.
A team of specialists from Assam Police and NIC have been working round the clock to make the project a success. As a result, Assam Police had a flawless execution of force randomisation for the first phase of elections.
