ASSAM: POLICE OFFICER LT. BHASKAR KALITA CASE HEARING IN TINSUKIA DISTRICT

Lt. Bhaskar Kalita, the officer in charge (OC) of Bordumsa police station of Tinsukia district, Assam who was being killed in an encounter with the ULFA (I) militants along the interstate boundary with Arunachal Pradesh on May 4. An enquiry commission has been formed regarding the case under Additional Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna who visited in Tinsukia district today, at around 10 A.M for further investigation of the case.

After interrogating with the local people Additional Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna conducted a public hearing regarding the case in Kujupathar Primary School at around 12:30 P.M. in which the local people can also give their opinion.
