Assam polls: Congress releases star campaigners’ list

GUWAHATI: The Congress released the star campaigners’ list for the Assam assembly elections 2021 yesterday.

The list includes as many as 30 star campaigners:

• Sonia Gandhi

• former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh

• former president of the party Rahul Gandhi

• Priyanka Gandhi Vadra

• Sachin Pilot

• Navjot Singh Sidhu

Other top Congress leaders from Northeast states, such as former Meghalaya chief minister Mukul Sangma and former Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Nabam Tuki.

The Congress's top leaders from around the country will be campaigning in Assam for the party ahead of the state's assembly elections.

 

Recently, Congress released its list for the 30  star campaigners for West Bengal assembly election.

Party’s interim chief Sonia Gandhi, former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Rahul Gandhi, Sachin Pilot, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Mohd Azharuddin, Abhijit Mukherjee are among those who have been chosen for the star campaigners in the state.
