Assam: Positivity rate of COVID-19 comes down from 18% to 4.5%

Two trends of COVID cases in Guwahati in between 16th July to 8th August in Assam. Positivity rate has come down from 18% to 4.5%. The number of positive cases per day is also slowing down.

Taking to Twitter, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted. "Need to maintain this trend for a few more weeks".

The COVID-19 death toll in Assam has gone up to 140 cases. Assam reported 2218 COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours pushing the state’s total to 57714; of which 18,762 are still active and 38809. The positivity rate was 4.04 per cent.
