ASSAM: PROTEST OVER CITIZENSHIP AMENDMENT BILL

A protest was staged out in Golaghat District for the cancellation of Citizenship Amendment Bill 2006 by All Assam Tea & Former Tea Tribe Jalaha Organisation today. The protest took place in front of the office of the Deputy Commissioner. The presidents of various organisations said that if the government does not take necessary action for the cancellation of the bill, the protests will turn more violent. After the movement a memorandum has been sent to the President through Deputy Commissioner.
