ASSAM: PROTEST BY ATASU AGAINST PRIVATIZATION OF HISTORICAL HERITAGE OF ASSAM

The All Assam Tai Ahom Students Union (ATASU) today protested against the privatization of the historical heritage of Assam such as monuments of Sivasagar including Kaziranga National Park . The protesters sat in a dharna in front of the District Deputy Commissioner's Office in Borguri, Tinsukia. The dharna went for one hour.

Members of the Tai Ahom Students Union, described the incident as privatization of  glorious heritage of Assam during the rule of Government, which talked about protecting Jati Mati and Bheti of Assam.
