Guwahati, February 15, 2020:

Rajya Sabha MP Biswajit Daimary and Guwahati Lok Sabha MP Queen Ojha were "insulted" and made to shift seats due to a mix-up during the 65th Filmfare Awards held in Guwahati, Assam. Daimary, who belongs to the Bodoland People's Front (BPF) party, left the function Midway through.

Talking to Inside Northeast, the MP was reportedly asked to show his tickets at the venue. "I said that I was an invited guest and showed the invitation. However, the people were adamant and said that I had to shift to a seat in the back. Guwahati MP Queen Ojha was also reportedly asked to shift to another seat."

However, Daimary was again reportedly humiliated by the organizers. Later, organizers turned up with the Assam DGP, Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta. Daimary said that he was so embarrassed that he was compelled to leave due to the extreme humiliation he faced. "I, along with members of my family thought it best to just leave the show."
