Ration crisis creating havoc amongst the jail inmates

In a latest update it has been found that several jails in Assam are reportedly facing severe ration crisis. While the jails which falls in the third zone are currently facing the crisis in the ration supply . As per reports nine jails in Assam are facing this inadequate ration crisis within the Jail campus for the jail inmates. As sources revealed the jail in Goalpara district has been facing severe crisis in food supply almost creating havoc among the jail inmates.

Ranjit Baishya, Superintendent of Goalpara District Jail, speaking to INSIDENE stated that there has been a huge crisis of food from last few days as the tender which was obtained by a private company for supplying food within jail campus has not yet settled since last three months.

It is also to be noted that along with Goalpara , Kokrajhar, Dhubri and Abhayapuri district jails are also going through ration crisis.
