Atul Bora, president of AGP affirms on his stand and speaks his affiliation to regionalism.

In an Interview with senior journalist Ajit Bhuyan in his show 'Hakhyat' Atul Bora, Minister in Sonowal cabinet outpours on his regionalism and confirms that they wouldn't continue in the government if Sonowal led BJP government fails to dismantle the Citizenship Amendment Bill.

When asked if they would straight away break the alliance he stated" Since we have been in power through people's mandate, we will live up to their expectations in diluting their problems. However if the government deviates from working for the cause of the people, there is no point for us in being a part of it. " Bora also stated that "It is not the luring of the chair that we are glued in the alliance, but to work for the people".

Bora however supplied a evasive response, when asked about Prafulla Mahanta's separate revolution leading the Asom Andolan Sangrami Manchi apprehending a fissure in the party. In reciprocation he stared that he isn't aware of any such hints. Bora urged the Centre to take the matter into serious consideration for the safeguard of the indigenous people.

Thus as the saying goes that nothing happens by accident in politics, such developments ahead the 2019 elections might create a political storm across the state.
