Assam Rifles have apprehended two National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB) cadres in Longleng district of Nagaland.
As part of ongoing crackdown by Assam Rifles on insurgent groups, the two NDFB militants, identified as Janak Boro (23) and Bijay Boro (18), were arrested on their way from Tobu to Assam.

A 7.62 mm AK 47 with Mag and 29 live rounds were also recovered from the two. The NDFB militants, along with recovered items, were handed over to Longleng Police Station for further investigation.
It is to be mentioned that a NDFB(S) cadre of 41st Batch was apprehended by the security forces on Monday when an operation was launched jointly by Kokrajhar Police along with Commando Battalion Staff and 12 Sikh LI Army in Leopani Nala and Ultapani Nala areas along the Indo- Bhutan border.
A 7.65 mm Pistol and 5 rounds of 7.65 mm ammunition were recovered from his possession. A case has also been registered against the cadre and further investigation is on.
Recently, the Indian Army jawans of Chirang unit had also nabbed another cadre of the rebel outfit National Democratic Front of Boroland- Ranjan Daimary (NDFB-RD) faction.
