Bus skids off road as driver lost control

A passenger bus met with an road accident on the banks of Jia Bhorali river today. The bus carrying 30 passengers skidded on a Paddy field as the driver lost control. According to sources, the bus runs under Assam State Transport Corporation bearing registration number AS-20 1616. It may be mentioned that the main reason of the mishap was the overloading of the bus. The injured passengers were rushed to Tezpur Medical College and Kanaklata Civil Hospital in Tezpur. Time and again it is seen that overloading threatens road safety. Such an incident has again contributed to another fatal road accident.
